The Bellmead Police Department strives to provide the highest quality of services to its citizens. In doing so it has expanded and augmented the resources it provides to its citizens. Two unique resources that serve our citizens are the Violence against Women Detective (VAWA) and services provided by the Crime Victim Liaison (CVL). The V.A.W.A. Detective is assigned specifically to violent crimes against women, as a requirement of the grant, to include crimes relating to domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking.

The Police Department offers S.H.A.R.P. or Sexual Harassment And Rape Prevention training for our community. We have two trained instructors and offer this to citizens periodically throughout the year. S.H.A.R.P. is free course instructed by C.I.D. to assist in self defense, methodology and techniques. The goal is to provide an extra tool to recognize danger, have a plan of action, and to execute that action or in the worst case scenario defend themselves against assailants by providing methods to “get away”.
“Your investigative division is proud to serve you and recognizes that we will often times be with you in some of the most trying times of your life. Through fulfilling our purpose and utilizing our resources, we will always strive to provide you the most thorough investigations and conclusion for your case.
